Aim: To provide the knowledge of the characteristics of the one-phase and multiphase flows in oil and gas reservoirs, and of the analytical methods used for evaluation of the flow behavior in the engineering studies of oil and gas production.
|
Contents: Properties of the porous rocks. One-phase flows in porous media. Capillary pressure. Relative permeability. Phase equilibria and thermodynamic properties of the hydrocarbon mixtures. Equations for the simultaneous flow of multiple phases in porous media. Analyses of the well tests. Mechanisms of exhaustion of the petroleum reservoirs. Component balance equations. Theory of waterflooding. Production from the reservoirs with different rock heterogeneities. Introduction to compositional reservoir simulation. Peculiarities of the Danish petroleum reservoirs.
