Aim: To teach the participants in how to employ computational tools for process simulation, optimization and design. To guide the students in problem formulation, evaluation and usage of computational tools and models for optimization and simulation of chemical process systems.
|
Contents: The following subjects will be covered: Process simulation and optimization. Generation of models for chemical process systems and usage of the same models for simulation and optimization. Commercially available computational programs will be described and employed. Industrial chemical engineering problems will be illustrated through case study. Efficient use of energy appropriate materials selection and environmental impact will be highlights.
